# Why are the apps sorted the way they are?

Episodes.fm supports 2 sort orders: Alphabetically and Popularity. Popularity is determined by a combination of global market share, the visitor’s device, and if available, the podcast’s own public analytics from [OP3](https://op3.dev/).

Adding OP3 to your podcast feed is currently the only way to influence the sort order.
